The Cage: Visualising the Housing Crisis

The Cage was a four day workshop hosted by MA Graphic Arts at the graphic design studios in UWE Bristol, over the weekend of 23/24/25/26 February.

It was organised by IC-Visual Lab, an independent non-profit group based in Bristol and the Spanish artist Julian Barón. Its intention was to generate new responses to the UK housing crisis through pictograms, vector graphics, photography, montage, photocopy, and text, and the content would be used for a public intervention in Stoke’s Croft, Bristol, and for an experimental publication produced on the weekend.

This workshop was run in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), Arnolfini, People’s Republic of Stoke Croft (PRSC) and the University of West of England (UWE).
